I'm sure you've heard or seen people wearing Google Glass? A good few may have already gotten the opportunity to use/buy them... What is Google Glass? It is a pair of high end glasses infused with software that allows you to see images on the surface of the glasses as you look around with them. A "Heads Up Display" (HUD) if you will, relaying Google related data to your glasses in an Android format. Suddenly, the idea of interacting with information via smartphones and tablets feels more antiquated lol... (Check out a more in depth analysis on Google Glass)
Google (as well as other companies I'm sure) plans to move beyond glasses to watches now. I say, good for them. I don't know how successful this will be but who cares! I'm just going to list a couple devices you may wanna look out for as wearable tech becomes more emergent!
The LG "G Watch":

The Motorola "Moto 360":

For list of other manufacturers Google plans to partner with be sure to check out this link:

Be on the lookout as Google is calling this push for wearable tech the Android Wear initiative and while we've only seen watches and glasses so far, I'm confident Google will move to any device they can apply their software too (vehicle tech, GPS, athletic gear, etc) Special shout out to all the media sources covering these developments (Engadget, Cnet, Know Your Mobile, etc.)
Are you excited about up and coming wearable technology? Or maybe you're more skeptical, could it just be a gimmick? Time will tell. Think it over and remember most importantly, be an educated consumer...
Peace,
Joe Andrew
